Teahouse
2006
unseasoned UK Larch. 4.5x4.25x3m high (max).
The Teahouse design is a modern interpretation of Japanese and Art's & Craft's influences. The angular form is enlivened with light and shadow through the use of double beams with detailed terminations, rebated columns, vertical louvres and staggered, rebated board-on-board roofing. The structure comprises a deck supporting the roof via an open arrangement of raking columns and passing braces, that serve to frame views from within the Teahouse |
